Whenever I install a patch and start the game, I can't do anything. The menu buttons don't work except for the exit button. Help!

You are using a pirated version of the game which is why it is not working correctly, easy fix:

What about the Direct2Drive version?  It's been a few months now and they're still not offering the new patch at Direct2Drive.com .  Is there some other way of obtaining it?

There is no update for the D2D version yet.  I will try and check with them when I do the next update and see if they can update as well.

Hello Jorpho,

I e-mailed them about this over a month ago and have not received any response.  It might help if you e-mail them as well.  I will send them another e-mail today.

Update:
Got a response back from them and uploaded the latest version 1.3.9.1.  I am not sure how long it will take them to put it up but they have it now.

Okay... http://www.direct2drive.com/8047/product/Buy-Bridge-Construction-Set-Download now indicates the correct version number, and the download is definitely different from the one I made previously: bcs.exe is 7,782,400 bytes instead of 6,242,304 bytes, and there's 332 total files in 14 folders instead of 331.

But the version number on the title screen is still 1.37, and the game directory still only contains patch_v_1_37.txt .  Is this really the new version?

They must not have updated the whole package for some reason, when you start the game it should show the version as 1.3.9.1.

Do you mean on the title screen?  Because as I said, it's still 1.37 there.  Or is there somewhere else where it should show 1.3.9.1 ?
